Ubisoft would have been aware of this as part of the testing of Ubisoft Connect if they even bothered to do testing, and the only fix by players is to use an earlier version of Uplay which wont leverage 2 factor authentication. When I asked if they could escalate the call or add the case to the problem so that there is a record, they said no they couldn't do that as they are aware of it. This means that the Dev team have been working on it since at least that time which means its been "reviewed" for around 3 months now and still no fix. However the earliest post online seems to be around 30th June 2020 ( ). I reached out to Ubisoft today to explain the situation to them and they told me that it is being looked at and that the team are aware. Looking online it seems many people are having the same issue, with the only known workaround, to downgrade to an earlier, insecure version of Uplay in order to make it work.
